Server Request Service Level


Server is a virtual server environment managed by IT. Choose either a Core Server, where you are the system administrator and install all software, or a Managed Server, which allows you to focus on managing applications instead of the operating system. Both options free you from managing physical servers and offer flexibility to select the right options for your campus computing needs.

Service Status: Active


Servers are located at UNM datacenters with built-in redundancy at all levels. Disk performance and network capacity in Server can handle demanding production workloads without system degradation. The optional migration service will help new customers transfer a server image and/or data into the environment.

Who can request server(s)?

Server(s) may be requested by any UNM community member with a netid.

Please note that all sizes include the option to have managed services at no additional cost. For details on managed service features, see the Features list in the Overview tab. For managed database options, please see the Database service.
